Warning Lights And Symbols In Car : What these mean ?

 In today cars comes with more features and electronics than ever before. Mostly all of cars speedometer console become updated by new and improved  advance features with time and manufacturers now give enough warning light's in the speedometer console.

These warning lights and symbols confuse what these mean. Here we trying to describe these warning icons and lights. Red, yellow or blue lights meanly seen in speedometer. These lights related with car engine working etc. Here you know warning light in most urgent is red, same in car red light describe the important or urgent action to inspect the car or there's a problem. All cars owner's manual for the exact definition of each, we decided to come up with simple descriptions of some of the most common warning light's seen almost all cars. 


1. Oil Pressure light :


This light indicates loss of oil pressure in the engine mean oil level become low or check engine oil, oil cooler not work or oil leaking in oil chamber . Avoid driving the car too long it may be engine damage under such circumstances. 

2. Engine Temperature Warning light :

It means your car's coolant or water is overheating or engine temperature has exceeded normal limits . Quickly off the car engine and let your car cool down otherwise the heat destroy your engine. Check coolant level, cooling fan operation, radiator cap or radiator hose or coolant leaks. 

3. Door Open Warning light :



This light's icon comes when one or more doors of the car are not shut properly. Some cars will also show exact door that needs to be checked or shut properly. 

4. Battery Charge Warning light :



This warning light indicates that there is an issue with the vehicle's charging system or low current in battery. While it indicate that cars alternator or charging system not work or may be loose or damage of battery cables. It also may alternator belt broken. 

In this problem firstly you should do is turn off anything that consumes power i.e AC fan, music system , any interior lights and any electrical accessories. Do not turn your car off until you get to somewhere safe or not reach your mechanic, just in case if u turn off your car it doesn't start again. 

5. Brake Warning light :



It's means that you left your handbrake on.  But if the light is still lit or blinks when you are driving , it could mean low level of brake fluid in your car. 

6. Seatbelt Warning light  :

This light icon means you are not wearing your seatbelt while driving the car. 

7. Air Bag Warning light :


If this light icon doesn't go after  starting the car, it means there is a malfunction with the Airbag system of the car. This fault only be removed by an authorized dealer or center. 

8. Engine Warning light :



This warning light appears when there is an issue with your car engine or may down to a minor electrical malfunction. Bring your car to the mechanic as possible, not ignore it become big issue in your car system. 

9. Low Fuel Indicator light  :



This symbol are mostly common we know fuel or fuel pump. If this indication blinks in car needs fuel or low level of fuel, refill ur car's fuel tank. 

10.Fuel Filter Warning light :



This indication meanly seen in diesel cars,  it warning indicator means that the diesel fuel filter is full of water vaporter particles or there have a sensor fitted at top of fuel filter become not work or water particles has been collected. Once the level starts reaching maximum capacity, the fuel filter warning light illuminated.

It means fuel filter or water level sensor replaced or cleaned as needed. 

Remember to some of these lights seriously you don't know . When in doubt , always check with your mechanic or help owner's manual provided by company.

Tyre puncture : Easy 5 Steps To Change A Punctured Car Tyre

This is the most common problem occur while driving a car tyre punctured! A small nail in tyre can cause a lot of hassle. Whatever it a normal tyre or tubeless, it is not possible drive a car with punctured tyre because it will damage the wheel rim and also other multi damages may happen. 


In a this kind of situation many people not know or prepared to change a tyre whereas spare wheel or everything needed present in trunk of our car. 

In this article, we show you step-by-step how a punctured tyre can be changed, in just 10 to 15 minutes and how easy changing a tyre really. 


1. Find a flat, stable and safe place to change punctured tyre : 

Once you realised your car tyre puncture, please turn slowly towards the side of road. Put on the hazard warning light's of the car to let passing traffic know there is a problem.

  Find flat, solid ground, away from the road if possible park the vehicle in gear, pull the handbrake so the vehicle does not roll away when it is jacked up.


2. Place the Jack but not pump up :  

Now firstly place the Jack at right location where exactly the Jack needs, only settle Jack not pump up . Now remove wheel cup and loosen the wheel nuts of the tyre while tyre are still on the ground. Do not loosen them too much. Just a couple of turns each would do. 



3. Apply the Jack, with stable And secure  way : 

When we fix the Jack on lift point, now slowly Jack pump up the vehicle to ensure the jack secure and safe. Jack up till there is approximately two inches space between the punctured tyre and the ground surface. This is because spare wheel higher than the punctured wheel because air in it. 

4. Remove the nuts and replace puncture tyre :

 Now when we Jack up remove the loosen nuts and take off the tyre and replace it with the spare wheel provided. Put back the wheel nut and tighten it, but keep it mind not to lock them with the tool . Because vehicle on Jack could be slip off the Jack and vehicle  lay down the ground ,or some injury may happen to you.

                           

5.  Lower down the Jack and tighten the nuts :

Once the nuts are tightened by hand, lower the Jack and ensure all wheels are on the ground. Pull the Jack away and lock the wheel nuts properly. Ensure all the nuts are tight and secure. 


Put away the punctured wheel and all the tools back in the boot make sure it. 
                                     

When we replace the punctured tyre put the puncture tyre, jack and tools in trunk ( Digi space area)  And take it to mechanic as early as possible for the repair of puncture tyre.

Car Maintenance Schedule Based on Engine Mileage

Routine car maintenance is mandatory to keep a car running properly. However these always refer to the owner's manual, dealer or authorized service professional for the particular service according to the mileage or intervals required. 

Reffer on Every 10000 Kms

The engine oil and oil filter should be replaced according to the manufacturer recommended in a maintenance schedule. Also between 5000 and 10000 kms inspection of the air filter, gear oil, coolant, windshield washer fluid and wipers, all exterior lights like head lamps, turning lamps, tail lamp etc. Also inspect tires, front suspension, wheel alignment of tires mandatory. 


Reffer on Every 20000Kms

Repeat same according to service schedule of 10000 kms . But in 20000 kms addition of replacing air filter, fuel filter, coolant, HVAC AC cabin filter requires. Also inspect the radiator hoses, brake pads and all suspension components. 


Reffer on Every 30000 kms 

Repeat the maintenance schedule of 10000kms. And instead all the components likes battery water, alignment or suspension  etc. 


Reffer on Every 40000 to 60000 kms

In maintenance schedule oil filter, engine oil, and air filter are very important parts to replaced in every interval given. Every 40000 to 60000 kms replace brake pads, brake fluid, radiator hoses, coolant, power steering fluid and inspect timming belt or all v-belts. Also inspect AC cooling system, suspension components and tires. 



Always use the genuine spare parts recommends in the owner's manual given by manufacturer. 

The owner's manual also provides a routine auto maintenance schedule based on engine mileage most of all cars.
